Amanda Jo is a naturally-born country music singer and songwriter. Her performing career began at the age of two, when she would stand on top of picnic tables and perform to anyone who would listen.
At the age of six, she performed for the first time on stage at a county fair in Minnesota. By age eight she was performing at large venues including The Minnesota Timberwolves.
She then began training in musical theatre and classical. At age 11, she had a rare opportunity to sing with The Minnesota Opera Company in the popular opera, La Boheme. During her younger years Amanda Jo also participated in her local theatre, where she played roles such as Sleeping Beauty.
Her passion for the heart and soul of country music continued to grow. In late 2012, Amanda Jo followed her dream to Nashville, TN. She performs all over Music City. You can hear her regularly playing down on the famous Lower Broadway in the heart of the city. She also tours regularly all over the United States and has become a sought-after performer at some of the most popular fairs and festivals. She has performed alongside such acts as Maddie and Tae, Chris Janson, and Marshall Tucker Band.
Amanda Jo released her first full length album, Worth A Memory, on June 23, 2014 featuring twelve songs that were written from her heart and sung with soul. She has performed at various renowned venues including The Target Center, Whisky a Go Go and The Ordway Center. She was also recently featured on NBC’s News and More at Middday show in Nashville as their featured artist.
In addition to her solo career, Amanda Jo is also a part of the duo Truckstop Honey. Truckstop Honey saw a top 40 country radio hit with the song Polaroid.
Amanda Jo was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2000. She is a passionate advocate for others living with diabetes. In 2018, she partnered with Tandem Diabetes Care to further her outreach to the diabetes community. She has had the opportunity to perform and be a featured speaker at various diabetes events including the Children with Diabetes Friends For Life Conference, TCOYD (Taking Care of Your Diabetes), TrialNet, as well as numerous diabetes camps around the country. Sharing her music and her love for people with diabetes remains the heart and soul behind Amanda Jo's career.
